Weekend Overnight Air Talent (voice tracked) – WJXQ 106.1 (Q-106)
Serving as co-host and producer of Tim Barron Mornings on Lansing’s Classic Hits 92-X utilizing live and recorded elements, lining up guest bookings, develop show bits and promotions, make personal appearances, do remote broadcasts, appear at Lansing Lugnuts games to sing the 7th inning stretch in support of the station’s partnership with the team and their game broadcasts, as well as work with play-by-play announcer Jesse Goldberg-Strassler coaching him on his on air presentation and occasionally do color commentary on Lansing Lugnuts game broadcasts on Classic Hits 92-X.

Currently on-air
as interim host and formerly was co-host and producer of the MIKE-FM
Morning Show, including live and recorded elements, lining up guest
bookings, develop show bits and promotions, and deliver sportscasts
and weather forecasts on air every 1/2 hour. Also work as a solo
on-air talent on weekends. Responsible for all creative
services, spots, promotional and station imaging audio.
1987

Contract free lance voice talent, station imaging, audio and multimedia/video
stream production, web design and web hosting. Has performed
character voice work and production duties for numerous Detroit
market radio station morning shows, and have done radio edits and
remixes of music for radio stations and major record labels.
1991 to 1996 – WWCM (WCM) Radio; Ypsilanti (Detroit),
MI
Drive Time Air Talent; APD; Production Director; Intern/Volunteer
Coordinator.
Duties included weekday Afternoon Drive Time air talent, overseeing
all spot and special production, maintaining
computer automation, DAWs and satellite equipment, making sure hourly newscasts
were updated, programmed music, insuring logs were current, and setting up all
remote broadcasts via Comrex, cell phone, and EQ leased line. Also served
as producer for the AM Drive show – securing guests, getting sound bytes
for later day part and news use, screening calls, voice tracking hosts for final
hour of show, and assembling weekend ‘Best Of’ morning program for
Saturday airing.
Moved up the ranks from part-time weekend board operator to PM Drive AT, APD, Production Director, Intern/Volunteer Coordinator in 2 1/2 years. Held #1 PM Drive CCM format position in the Detroit market ratings for 4 consecutive books. Made improvements to on-air and spot production audio, increasing market share and advertising clients. Set up, programmed and trained staff on use of Arrakis Digilink computer automation and TrackStar8 DAWs.
1987 to 1989 – Summerfield’s
Lounge; Ramada Inn

Live Club DJ (a.k.a. “The Mastermixer”); Assistant
Lounge Manager
Duties included head Lounge DJ for facility (capacity – 350),
Live DJ Wednesday through Sunday evenings, assisted Lounge Manager
and Food & Beverage director with daily counts of people through
the door, final sales, liquor counts, and cover charge collected. Was
a pioneer in Detroit of live industrial and beat-match mixes of dance
music under the pseudonym “The Mastermixer™”.

Versatile voice talent in straight reads, impressions, characters,
dialects and “wacky voices”; knowledgeable in computers;

optic lines; proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access;
working knowledge of operation and maintenance of numerous DAWs such
as Cool Edit, Adobe Audition, Sony Sound Forge & Vegas, SAW,
Avid and Cubase; working knowledge of operation and maintenance of
computer on-air automation/live assist systems; working knowledge
of transmitter operation and maintenance; knowledge and experience
in web design & development.
